Customer Support Portal

cover image

Today, we’re introducing our Customer Support Portal, which lets your customers keep track of all their Linear requests and respond to every email, chat, or Slack conversation.

As soon as you receive a message and link it to a Linear issue or project, the customer will see its title, status, and – if you want – due date on the Support Portal. Giving them full visibility into what's happening with their request.

Customers can respond to conversations and mark them important. If a Linear request is associated, they can change its importance as well.

Team requests on the Public Roadmap

If you use the public roadmap, activating the Support Portal will add your customer's and their team members' requests below the submit form. They will not only see the features you published, but every issue or project that's linked to someone with their company email address in Linear.

Embedded into the widget

To make the portal available for your customers, you can either add a link with SSO to your app to authenticate them or use our widget to display the requests. The counter will include all requests from their team members so that you can get more feedback from different people from the same company.

Custom domain, SSO, and authentication

The Support Portal comes with powerful features out of the box: You can adjust your portal theme, add a custom domain, authenticate customers with SSO, block certain domains from access, and much more. It’s the most personal way for your customers to interact with your team — and it’s available starting today on the Productlane Scale Plan.

Supporting Linear customer requests for projects

The newly announced Linear customer requests for projects are rounding up this release. If you link a thread to a project, it will now create a customer request in Linear, that will be visible on the Support Portal.

Send the Support Portal link to your customers via email or our widget, and enjoy receiving more feedback and managing expectations with customers.
