Microsoft Teams integration

Add the Productlane bot to a team and messages in its channels become threads in your inbox, with replies syncing both ways.

Teams needs the Scale plan or above, and a Member or Admin role to connect.

Where to find it

Settings > Integrations > Teams.

Set it up

Click Download Teams App (.zip) to get the app package.
In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps > Manage your apps > Upload an app > Upload a custom app, and pick the zip you downloaded.
Add the Productlane bot to each team you want synced: open the team, then Manage team > Apps, search for Productlane, and add it.
Back in Productlane, click Connect to link your Teams organization to this workspace.

Uploading the app in Teams and connecting in Productlane are two separate steps, and the order matters.

What syncs

Messages in channels where the bot is installed create threads in Productlane. Replies you send from Productlane land in Teams, and replies in Teams come back to the thread. Threads can be linked to Linear issues like any other channel.

Good to know

To reconnect, disconnect first and click Connect again to re-run authorization.
The Tenant ID shown after connecting identifies the Microsoft organization you linked.
When the AI auto-replies to a Teams thread and Create Linear Issues is on under Settings > AI > Productlane Agent, it can log a bug report or feature request as a Linear issue and link it. See Automatic issue creation.
