GitHub

Overview

Link a GitHub repository so Productlane's AI can read your pull requests and source code. This grounds AI features in what your team actually shipped: Auto AI-Drafts cite the PRs behind a fix, docs suggestions propose updates when a linked issue and its PR ship, and the AI Copilot can reference code when it answers.

Connect GitHub

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → GitHub.

  2. Click Install GitHub App and install the Productlane app on your organization.

  3. Back in Productlane, pick the repository the AI should read from. One repository is supported at a time.

A green Connected badge confirms the link. Change the repository from the same page anytime, or click Disconnect to remove access.

What the link enables

  • Auto AI-Drafts use merged PRs as a source, so a drafted reply can reference the change that fixed a bug.

  • Docs suggestions analyze a completed issue and its PRs to propose help center updates for review.

  • AI Copilot can pull in code and PR context when you ask it about a thread.

GitHub and Code Agents

This integration lets the AI read your repository. To have an agent write fixes and open pull requests, connect Cursor Cloud as well. The two work together: GitHub gives the AI read access, Cursor opens the PRs.
